Yas Island's water park has added its biggest single expansion yet, continuing the Lost City theming that runs through the park.
Miral, the developer behind Yas Waterworld, has opened a new expansion adding eight slides, two jumping platforms and a dedicated lounging pool — continuing the park's “Lost City” theming that builds on its existing Legend of the Lost Pearl storyline. The addition takes the park's total number of in-park experiences past 70.
For repeat visitors, it's a genuine reason to go back even if you've done Yas Waterworld before; for first-time visitors, it means an already large park has grown larger still, and a single day may not be enough to cover everything if slides are a priority over lounging. Miral has signalled further investment across its Yas Island portfolio in the coming years, so this expansion is likely to be one of several rather than a one-off addition to the park. Season pass holders have reported the expansion noticeably reduces queue times across the rest of the park too, since it spreads visitor traffic across a wider footprint.
