Middle East Film & Comic Con 2026 is in its final weekend at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, and Sunday 13 September is the last chance to catch this year’s celebrity guests, cosplay, gaming, comics, anime and fan zones. Standard tickets were still available when we checked, while VIP, Saturday and three-day passes were listed as sold out.
If you are in Abu Dhabi this weekend and pop culture is even remotely your thing, Sunday is the final shot. MEFCC is spread across film, TV, comics, anime, gaming, trading cards, cosplay, collectibles and creator programming rather than being one single-stage convention.
The most useful planning move is to decide what actually matters before you arrive. A celebrity session, one main-stage panel or a tournament can anchor the day; the rest is easier to explore around it. The official site is still warning that standard tickets are limited, so this is not a great event to leave entirely to a walk-up decision.
MEFCC 2026 runs from 11–13 September at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. The confirmed Sunday hours are 12pm to 11pm GST. ADNEC lists the event across Halls 8–11, the ICC Hall and Central Plaza, with Car Parks A and B designated for visitors.
Because this is the closing day, visitors arriving late should expect less flexibility for anything that depends on a fixed session time. If a celebrity meet, panel, competition or tournament is the reason you are going, check the official live schedule before travelling and build the rest of the day around it.
MEFCC’s official site currently marks VIP, Saturday and three-day passes as sold out. Standard tickets are still being sold, but organisers say they are limited and recommend buying in advance. The official FAQ says single-day standard access starts from AED 160, with prices higher at the door.
Tickets can be bought online through the event’s authorised ticket channels or on-site at the Ticketing Hall in ICC Halls 2–3. If you already bought online, the event directs visitors to the ticket collection desks to pick up their wristband.
The 2026 celebrity programme includes John Cena, Simu Liu, Mackenyu, Pom Klementieff, Arden Cho, Jacob Romero and other film, television and pop-culture guests. For Sunday specifically, the official guest pages confirm appearances by John Cena, Mackenyu, Arden Cho, Joonas Suotamo and Charithra Chandran, among others.
Do not treat an appearance date as a promise that a guest is available all day. MEFCC tells visitors to use the live schedule for exact autograph, photo and stage timings. Celebrity schedules can move, and some meet-and-greet capacity is handled separately from general admission.
A standard MEFCC admission ticket gets you into the event, but celebrity photo and autograph sessions are separate purchases. For example, MEFCC currently lists John Cena autograph and photo vouchers at AED 900 each. Mackenyu’s official page lists an autograph at AED 480, while other guests have their own pricing.
If meeting a celebrity is your main goal, budget for that separately and go straight to the relevant zone early enough to understand the voucher process. MEFCC says non-VIP visitors can purchase available autograph or photo vouchers at the Meet the Stars zone on the day before the relevant session begins.
The show floor includes the Main Stage, Festival Plaza, Otaku District, Gaming Arena, TCG Arena, Tabletop Zone, Bookworm Lounge, Collectors Gallery and Comic Creators Club. That makes the event much easier to enjoy casually than the celebrity-heavy marketing might suggest.
Anime and Asian pop-culture fans can head for the Otaku District; gamers have dedicated gaming, tabletop and card zones; comic readers can browse creators and the Bookworm Lounge; and the Festival Plaza combines performances, competitions, food trucks and social space. The official Tabletop Zone says its casual board-game activities are free inside the event.
ADNEC says Car Parks A and B are the closest official parking choices for MEFCC. The event FAQ lists a discounted AED 40 flat parking rate per day for 11–13 September. Car Park A is by the Aloft hotel with access from President Joko Widodo Street; Car Park B is near Andaz Capital Gate and accessed from Al Multaqa Street.
For public transport, MEFCC’s getting-here page says Bus 040 serves ADNEC. The venue also advertises a 15% Careem discount using promo code ADNEC, while Abu Dhabi taxis can be booked on 600 53 53 53. The event site describes ADNEC as about a 15-minute drive from Zayed International Airport in normal conditions.
Children aged 6 and under enter free, according to the current FAQ, while children aged 7–11 are listed at AED 50 at the door. People of Determination receive free event entry for themselves and one chaperone. ADNEC is described as wheelchair accessible, with accessible toilets, ramps, doorways and corridors.
For families, the practical question is stamina rather than whether there is anything to do. Eleven hours is a long convention day. Pick a realistic arrival window, build in food and rest time, and avoid promising children several fixed-time activities back-to-back across different halls.
